The Children’s Ministry of Woodlawn United Methodist Church is a place where faith, imagination, and learning go hand in hand. Through creative, active, age-appropriate, Bible-based learning experiences, children are guided and encouraged to grow and develop their faith.
Moms on Mondays (MOM) is a life group that meets the first Monday of each month for 2 hours. Come for fun, fellowship, discussion and support. Each month we will have different topics and activities. This group is open to moms with children age 5 and under. Find our group on Facebook by searching "Moms on Mondays (MOM)."
Children who are 3 years old through 5th grade are invited to join us for "The Way We Worship" at 9:45 on Sundays. Children will begin service in the The Gathering with the congregation and after "children's time" will be escorted by an adult to Zone 3 in the children's ministry wing for "The Way We Worship"- a comfortable worship and learning service designed specifically for children under the age of 9 years of age.
Children who are two-years-old on or before August 31 of the current year, are invited to their very own Sunday School class. Toddlers are introduced to basic “faith” words and concepts and begin learning some of the basic stories of the Bible. Parents are welcome to attend with their child the first few weeks to ease transition into a classroom setting from the nursery. Due to the young age of the children attending Toddling to Jesus, parents are asked to remain in the building while their child is in class.
Children who are three-years-old on or before August 31 through preschool children are invited to be part of our Sunday morning early childhood experiences. We strive to partner with families as children grow and develop their relationships with Christian friends and their ultimate friend, Jesus. Each Sunday School teaching team is made up of four volunteers who rotate weekly to provide a consistent, safe and nurturing environment for your child to explore and engage in their relationship with Jesus. Class meets in 10E
K-3 Sunday School Classroom locations: Kindergarten 9E, First Grade 8E, Second Grade 7E, Third Grade 5E
A special ministry for students in grades 4 & 5. Preteen students need a ministry that meets the unique needs that they face in their daily lives. Through carefully chosen curriculum our preteens begin to understand and develop their faith by learning Biblical stories and truths.

WOW Kids is a fun, interactive program on Wednesday nights for children in Kindergarten-3rd grade. The program includes small group time, large group dramas, praise & worship, and rotational activities (such as snacks and games). Children are divided into age groups with a youth small group leader for the entire semester. Kids spend each Wednesday night with their small group participating in the different activities and Christian fellowship. WOW Kids (K-3) meets in the north parlor.
Our 3- and 4-year-old children are invited to be part of WOW as well. At Wee WOW, younger children get the opportunity to be part of the excitement while in the comfort of their classroom. Wee WOW meets in class 10E.
Club 45 WOW is designed to deliver life-changing ministry by using excitement, fun, and true-to-life lessons so preteens can live out what they study. Preteens will be challenged to go deep in God’s Word and to develop lasting, meaningful relationships.
