Dillons Coupons (Gift Cards)
Buy a $5.00 Dillon’s gift card in the church office or Sunday mornings in Fellowship Hall. Reload the card at your convenience up to $250 at a time in any Dillons store using cash, check or credit. Then use the card when you make any purchases (including flowers, gas, groceries and prescriptions). The church earns 5% of any amount reloaded onto the card. This money goes directly into the new Van Fund.
 
Derby Community Family Services (DCFS)
Serving residents of the USD 260 school district. DCFS is located at 4900 South Clifton, in Oaklawn in the middle metal building behind the old Carlton school gymnasium. 
Services include:
 - The Food Pantry (an emergency food pantry is also kept at Woodlawn United Methodist Church)
 - The Good Samaritan Fund, which offers rent and utility assistance to residents of the USD 260 school district.
 - Snack Packs for children at risk of not having food in their homes over the weekend. A sack of food containing simple snacks and easy to fix items is given to the child before school is dismissed on Fridays.
If you are a resident of Derby School District USD 260 and would like assistance, please call 519-5867 and leave a call back number to make an appointment. If you are not a USD 260 resident, please call the United Way at 211.

Jack and Jill Preschool
Jack & Jill Preschool provides an opportunity for young children to learn through active involvement with their environment. Class offerings are 2 and 3-day morning and afternoon classes, and a 5-day morning class for 4 year olds. For more information go to http://www.jackandjillpreschool.org/
 
Mom’s Day Out
Mom's Day Out (MDO) ministers to parents and caregivers of young children within the Derby community. The program provides five hours of supervised play and craft activities for children, while their caregivers run errands or take a break. MDO meets on Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. September-May for children ages six weeks through pre-kindergarten.  To register or for more information, click here or call 788-1507.

Operation Holiday
Operation Holiday accepts donations of  new toys and food and distributes them to low-income families through a “Holiday Store” just prior to Christmas. For more information contact Carla at 788-7197.
 
Winterfest
Winterfest is a craft fair held the first Saturday in December at Woodlawn. The profits go to support the various missions of the church. For more information call 841-8479 and leave a message.
 
Woodlawn Thrift Store
Located at 103 N. Baltimore, corner of K-15 and Washington in Derby. Good quality clothes for all ages, plus small household items and toys. Profits are contributed to various community programs such as Operation Holiday and Operation Back-to-School. The store is open 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesdays-Saturdays.

Support Groups that meet at Woodlawn UMC
  • Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 8:30 p.m. in Room 14E
  • Al-Anon meets every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in Room 14E
  • Good Grief of Kansas meets every Tuesday evening, 7:00 p.m., room 15E, for anyone who has lost or knows someone who has lost a loved one.
  • Narcotics Anonymous meets in room 14E on Monday evenings at 6:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. For further information on NA call their help line at 775-5701. To learn more about the Narcotics Anonymous self-help group, go to http://www.wmana.org/
  • TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Tuesday evening, 7:00 p.m. in room 13, to offer a healthy, caring approach to weight loss and weight control.
  • Victory in the Valley is a cancer support group for cancer patients, survivors, families and friends. They meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall for sharing hope and offering help.
