Making God's Love Real
We need a few good people!

Since the adoption of the Long Range Plan by The Church Council in April, much workhas been done and plans for future activities are being developed. The leadership already established by the Church Council has taken on the challenge of working for the future of Woodlawn. There are two projects in the Long Range Plan that require special task forces for research and implementation. We are asking that you prayerfully consider whether your talents and abilities could be useful in these areas.

Jack and Jill Expansion Task Force

We are proud of Jack and Jill Pre-school and the years of service they have provided to the children of our community. The goal is to explore expansion of the current program.

The task: Explore the possibility of five day a week pre-school as well as full day child care at Jack and Jill. There will need to be an analysis of need for the services, financial analysis to determine financial feasibility, remodeling of current facility or plan for new construction to accommodate the programs, licensure requirements, staffing, etc. etc.
So we need task force members who have experience with or have interest in services forpre-school children, a financial person or two, someone with construction/remodeling experience, and a chair to shepherd the process.

Fee Based Ministries Task Force

The task: Explore possibilities for fee based programs that might be offered at Woodlawn. Consideration would be given to after school programs that emphasize Christian education and the arts. The task force will determine what is needed in theCommunity, develop guidelines for curriculum, develop a proforma to determine financial feasibility, look at space and staffing issues, etc. So, this task force will need program people, needs assessment people, financial people, people who know our community well, and a chair to shepherd the process.

Accountability

The task forces will be appointed by the Church Council and will report to the Church Council. The chairs of the task forces will make progress reports to the Executive Team and to the Church Council. Recommendations from the task forces will be implemented with the approval of the Church Council.

Will this require some work? Yes! Can you make a difference in the lives of children in our community? With God’s help, yes! If you have interest in serving on one of these task forces, please call the Church office. If you have questions, please call Carol Boyce, Charlene Mathis, or Paul Wilke.
