Mini Missions

Mini Missions at Woodlawn

  • Save your soda cans and bring them to church. Pluck off the pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House and bring them to the office, place your cans in the container beside the pop machine in Fellowship Hall to be recycled and used toward youth missions.
  • Save your “box top-education” labels found on numerous grocery items and Campbell soup labels, and put them in the special Red Bird Mission box provided in the narthex. Red Bird is a United Methodist mission. The box tops are used to fund their Christian school and medical facility for the poorest of the poor in Appalachia.Your soup labels will help them purchase a much-needed min-van.
  • Buy a $5.00 Dillon’s gift card in the church office or Sunday mornings in Fellowship Hall. Reload the card at your convenience up to $250 at a time in any Dillons store using cash, check or credit. Then use the card when you make any purchases (including flowers, gas, groceries and prescriptions). The church will earn 5% of any amount reloaded onto the card. This money will go directly into the church van fund.
  • Bring your unused coupon ads to the church office. Each week, a volunteer shopper uses the donated coupons to buy for soldier care packages, the food pantry, snack packs, and Youthville.
  • When you’re out grocery shopping, pick up an extra box of cereal, can of vegetables, or can of soup and donate it to the Food Pantry.
