Woodlawn Kid's week at Camp Horizon is June 4-8, 2012.

Camp Horizon information is available outside of the Children’s Ministry office. Please read your packet and register your child online (click here). DO NOT PAY online when you register. Print a copy of your registration and bring it to the church office for Woodlawn to pay a portion of the cost.

Dare to "Go Deep with God" this summer at Woodlawn:
Vacation Bible School, June 18-22, 9:00-11:30 a.m.
Sports camp, July 9-13, 9:00-11:30 a.m.
Dance camp, July 16-20, 9:00-11:30 a.m.

Registration is required for any of the Children's Ministry activities for the safety and security of your child.

Sunday Morning

For children 2-years old to 5th grade

Live B.I.G. Sunday School is available for children 2 years old to 5th grade, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Sunday mornings. Check in begins at 10:50 a.m. We ask that you keep your child with you until then to allow our teachers time for last minute preparations and prayer.

Live B.I.G is a Sunday school adventure where children hear, see, and live their Belief In God. It’s children coming to know the love of God through Jesus, children will grow as Children of God by taking what they learn from Sunday school into their everyday lives.

The Woodlawn Nursery is committed to providing a safe, nurturing Christain environment for young children. Woodlawn’s Nursery provides care for children ages 4 and younger only. Older children may participate in worship with their parents or attend a Woodlawn’s Kids program.

Nursery Hours: Sunday 8:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m., & 5:15-6:45 p.m. & Wednesday 6:15-8:15 p.m.

Wednesday Evening
WOW will return September 2012.

WOW (Woodlawn on Wednesday) is a fun, interactive program on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30-8:00 p.m. for children in preschool to 5th grade.

The program includes small group time, large group dramas, praise & worship, and rotational activities (snacks, games, etc) each week. Children are divided up into groups of 5 or 6 with an youth/adult small group leader for the entire semester. Kids spend each Wednesday night with their small group participating in the different activities and getting to know each other.

Music, Missions and More

Children's Missions
Our mission for February is to provide items for Youthville teens who will be starting their lives in their own homes. Often when a teen in foster care turns 17 they are required to begin life on their own. As you can imagine this is a hard transition for them. Youthville provides these teens with items needed to start a home. In February we will focus on kitchen items. Please donate the following (Any money given in February will be used to purchase these items)
• Plates • Cups • Silverware • Dish Soap • Kitchen Towels • Pot Holders

Music Opportunities for Children
Children's Choir is for Kindergarten-5th grade. Under the direction of Diana Unkel, this group will meet on Wednesdays during WOW.

Heavenly Rockers bell choir is for 3rd-5th grade. They meet on Wednesdays from 5:45-6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Sacred Dancers: Kindergarten through 2nd grade meet Wednesdays from 5:45-6:30 p.m. 3rd-5th gradeers meet on Thursdays from 6:30-7:15 p.m.

These are performance based groups that require a dedicated committment.

Club 45

Club 45 is a special ministry for children in 4th and 5th grades. Children this age have unique needs. They are no longer kids and not yet teenagers. They need more time, space, and resources. They also need us to stop lumping them into programs that are either too young or too old for them. They need us to intentionally teach them. It was from this need that the idea for Club 45 was developed. This is an exciting growing ministry under the direction of Dynaa’ Gallegos and Daniel Kipp.

April 29 - Will sing at Church Anew
May 4 - Parent/Child night and 5th grade graduation
