Congregational Care Ministry

The Congregational Care ministry team at Woodlawn strives to support and nurture our church members with Christian Love through life’s journey. Motivated by a heart willing to serve with love and sacrifice, we strive to ensure every member of our congregation is touched by a caring ministry.

Neighborhood Care Units – Small caring units are created by neighborhood. This enables us to provide care to those who live closest in times of joy and in times of need.
Funeral Dinners – On the day of the funeral service we offer a warm meal to families in their time of loss.
Caring Callers – A compassionate caller reaches out to members who are unable to attend worship services.
Bundle of Joy – With celebration Woodlawn welcomes each baby with a rose and a special basket.
College Care – We offers encouragement to our college students by remaining in contact, making them aware of special events at Woodlawn, and sending an occasional care package.
Library – Our library volunteers provides an abundance of Christian reading material and videos. The library also serves a great resource for educational material.
Card Ministry – Our team quietly offers support to our members by sending a special card. It is our way of letting members know we are thinking about them.
In the News - Volunteers recognize members who “Make the News”.
Stephen Ministry  – Our specially trained Stephen Ministers offers personalized Christian care for all kinds of life’s needs and circumstances.
